Gauchos Drop Contest Against Artichokes

GLENDALE, Ariz. - Glendale Community College men's basketball came away with a defeat Wednesday night, falling to Scottsdale Community College 76-65. The loss moves the Gauchos to 15-8 on the season, 6-6 in ACCAC play. Entering the final 6 games of the season, the Gauchos are currently tied for 3rd place in the conference with Scottsdale Community College.

Kenny White led the scoring for the Gauchos, finishing with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. White, a sophomore from St. Mary's high school also had one block and one steal for the contest. Stephan Miller (Liberty) had 13 points and 9 rebounds for the game. Miller also had 2 blocks, one steal, and one assist. Kaleb Conley (Boulder Creek) had 11 points while shooting 5-of-10 from the floor. Conley had 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in the contest. The Gauchos shot 41.3% from the floor and had 14 assists on 26 made baskets.

Glendale Community College men's basketball enters the final phase of conference play this Saturday, February 7th, when they travel to Phoenix College. The Gauchos are 2-0 this season against the Bears, winning 85-84 in their most recent matchup, and 86-79 in their first matchup back in November. Phoenix College comes into the contest at 8-16 overall, 0-12 in conference play. Tip-off for Saturday's contest is scheduled for 2 P.M.
