For the first time since the 2021-22 season, the GCC Gauchos WBB program has won back-to-back conference games. In just year two under Coach Shand, the Gauchos are working to become a consistent competitor in the ACCAC. 

"It's a nice step forward for our program and what we're trying to build here in Glendale. Our young women believed in the gameplan, prepared well and executed it. We all know that there's still room to grow and we're embracing that." - Coach Shand

The Gauchos will be tested in the upcoming weeks as 3 of their next 4 games will be against some of the top JUCO teams in the country - MCC (ranked #8 nationally), PCC (ranked #10 nationally), and SCC (receiving votes/#26 nationally).

As Coach Shand stated, "there are no easy nights in the ACCAC...we're not in a position to overlook anyone. In the midst of those nationally ranked teams, we'll host CGCC who made the playoffs last season and look like they are getting better each game. It'll be good for us to see where we stand among some of the best teams in our conference as we strive to become one of them. We'll continue taking things one game at a time."

The Gauchos host NJCAA #8 Mesa Community College on Wed., Jan., 22nd at 530pm in "The Fort." Your support/attendance is appreciated.
