October 3rd - Mens Soccer against Paradise Valley CC Pumas

The Gauchos are looking to take their previous win against SMCC and continue their winning ways. The Gauchos travel to Paradise Valley CC to take on the Pumas. For the first time this season, the Gauchos will have to play in the hot Arizona sun with a 3:30 Kickoff time.

The Gauchos got off to an extremely fast start, scoring 3 goals in the first 26 minutes of play. The goals were scored by Josue Hernandez, Adrian Osornio and Alex Hernandez Jr. Assists were by Nelson Gomez Rodriguez and Sebastian Flores.

Unfortunately, right before half time the Pumas would bring one back, and the first half would end with a 3-1 score in favor of the Gauchos.

There would be no more scoring until the 72nd minute where the Pumas capitalized on a drastic mistake from the defense, and make the game interesting with a 3-2 lead for the Gauchos. That goal woke up the Gauchos, and they went on to score quickly after that.

The Gauchos would score 3 goals in the next 11 minutes of play, from the 74th minute to the 85th minute, to take a 6-2 lead. The goals were scored by Joel Saavedra, Nelson Gomez Rodriguez and Antonio Murillo. Assists were by Nelson Gomez Rodriguez, Josue Hernandez and Rogelio Rodriguez.

The Pumas would score 1 more goal, which would be the final goal of the game. The Gauchos would walk away with a 6-3 victory with a much needed win heading into the biggest game of the season against Phoenix College. That game will be played 4 days from now, at home, with a 7pm Kickoff. The bears come into town being the #2 ranked team in the Nation.
