September 12th - Mens Soccer Away Game against Arizona Western College

The Gauchos traveled to Yuma to play against the Matadors of Arizona Western College. They begun the game on the front foot and had a great start when Jason Almanza scored an amazing goal from over 30 yards out to put the Gauchos up 1-0 in the 26th minute.

Shortly after, the Matadors responded with a goal of their own, to level the score at 1-1. The first half would end with a 1-1 score line.

The 2nd Half would begin with the Gauchos leading goal scorer stepping up once again dribbling around 3 defenders and the goalkeeper to put the Gauchos up 2-1 in the 50th minute.

The Matadors would receive a red card around the 60th minute, which gave the Gauchos a lot of confidence going into the last 30 minutes of play.

Unfortunately, due to a couple of unforced errors, the Gauchos would give up 2 more goals and lose the game with a final score of 3-2.

Next, the Gauchos travel to Tucson to take on the Aztecs of Pima Community College on Saturday, September 16th at 8pm.
