Recap for CGCC:

It was a successful Opening Night for the Glendale Community College Gauchos Men's Soccer Team as they won with the final score of 3-1 against the Chandler-Gilbert Community College Coyotes.

The game opened up with a quick goal in the 6th minute by Benjamin Rivera, who created an opportunity with a long throw, that the opposing Goalkeeper touched and bounced into the side netting.

Afterwards, the Coyotes got on the board with a very poor error by the Gauchos that led to a goal by Jose Perdomo.

The Gauchos seemed to be in complete control of the game, but could not manage to find the back of the net. Finally, in the 35th minute, the Gauchos scored with an amazing shot in the corner of the net by Nicholas Armenta Valdez.

In the 2nd half, with 25 minutes left to play, the Gauchos sealed victory with an incredible pass by Jason Almanza that led to a goal by Nelson Gomez Rodriguez.

The Gauchos take on Scottsdale Community College Artichokes on Saturday, 9/9/23, at 8:00PM at SCC. Come out and support the Gauchos!
