A native of Santa Ana, California, Men's Head Golf Coach, Jacob Suarez, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Glendale Community College campus. His journey in competitive golf began in his youth, competing in prestigious junior associations like the AJGA and SCPGA. After excelling in high school, where he still holds the record for most medals in a season and one of the best scoring averages in school history, he made the step up Junior College Athletics after playing two years for Santiago Canyon College in Orange County. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality management with a concentration in Professional Golf Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and was elected into the PGA of America upon completion. As a class-A PGA Professional since 2017, Jacob honed his player development skills, spending his six previous years as a private instructor in the Phoenix-area before making the leap into Junior Collegiate coaching. He and his wife settled into the vibrant Downtown Phoenix area in 2018, where they remain today. Jacob hopes to bring his combination of playing experience, teaching expertise, and managerial acumen to help foster the next generation of competitive golfers into the next level."
