GLENDALE, Ariz. - Glendale Community College men's basketball came away with a victory Wednesday night, defeating Mesa Community College 76-69. With the win, the Gauchos moved to 17-9 overall, 8-7 in conference play.
Kenny White led the Gauchos in scoring for the contest, finishing with 21 points on 10-of-20 from the field. White, a sophomore from St. Mary's high school, also had 4 assists, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals for the game. Stephan Miller (Liberty) finished with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Miller went 10-for-12 from the foul line. Kaleb Conley (Boulder Creek) had 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists in the contest. The Gauchos shot 42% from the floor and had 18 assists on 29 made field goals.
The Gauchos return to action on Saturday, February 21st, when they travel to Tucson to face 4th ranked Pima College. The Aztecs come into the contest with a record of 28-0, 16-0 in conference play. Tip-off for Saturday's contest is scheduled for 4 P.M.
