Chase Pavey has announced his commitment to Nelson University Arizona. The Warriors compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and are members of the Southwest States Conference. The Warriors are the reigning NCCAA Men's Basketball division 1 national champions. Pavey will join former Glendale Gauchos men's basketball player Petar Lazic as members of the Warriors.
Pavey was a two year member of the Glendale Community College men's basketball program. This past season, Pavey averaged 10.4 points per game while shooting 44% from the field and 41% from beyond the arc. His season high of 20 points came in a victory on January 15th against South Mountain Community College, where he shot 7-of-11 from the field, 5-of-8 from beyond the arc to go along with 6 rebounds. For his career, Pavey made 73 3-point field goals while shooting 41% from distance. In two seasons with the Gauchos, Pavey scored 394 points and grabbed 102 rebounds. Pavey will graduate with his A.A. degree in business this spring.
