Glendale Community College men's basketball dropped a third consecutive contest Saturday against Scottsdale Community College, 79-75. The loss moves the Gauchos to 13-8 on the season, 5-6 in conference play. The Gauchos now sit in 4th place in the ACCAC, with 7 games remaining in the regular season.
Jordan Kuac (Ironwood) led the Gauchos with 28 points on 8-of-13 from the field, 2-of-4 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line. Kuac also finished with 6 rebounds, 2 steals and one block. Lamont Johnson (Central) had his hand in nearly every statistical category, finishing with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 8 steals, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Davis Hester (Liberty) contributed 14 points while shooting 40% from the field, and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line. The Gauchos shot 41.3% from the field, and were 19-of-24 from the free throw line. They finished with 10 assists on 26 made field goals.
Glendale Community College men's basketball remains on the road for their next contest on Wednesday, February 5th, for a matchup at Phoenix College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
